The 2006 Öresund tour |
| The
Klubb Maritim, Helsingborg
department has been arranging boat spotting tours of the Öresund since the
1960's. I have not mannaged to go on one of these trips until this year, and
really regret it. It was one of the most memorable days of this summer, and
lots of nice boat pictures taken, and a lot of "shop" talk among boat
spotters. A great day.

She is flagged in Malta, but was built in Volgograd in1994. |

Yet another Swedish flagged vessel passed the Öresund this day. |

The Wisby Verity, of Wisby Tankers, is yet another coastal tanker, and pretty new as well. |

She was built in Germany in 2004, LOA 116,5 meters, beam 15,11, and for some reason she has the home port of Kalmar on her stern. Wisby Tankers has their offices in another Baltic port city, Visby on the island of Gotland. |

She was built in Dalian, China in 2003. At 195 meters long, 25.6 meters wide she is one of several modern roro-vessels in the Stena fleet. |

Owned by Swedish Jönssons Nova, the Tinto was built in Trondheim, Norway in 1977, a general cargo vessel 74 meters long and ten meters wide. |

The Clipper Leander was built in Tuzla in 2006. The most modern vessel we saw during the day. |

This tanker is 118 meters long and 19 meters wide, and flagged in the Bahamas. |

The first vessel we saw after leaving the port of Helsingborg, was the bulker Silver Lakes, of Belize, southbound in the Öresund straits. |

She was built in Wismar, 1986, and measures 176.55 meters LOA, 22.86 breadth, with a deadweight of 23929. |

This was one of all these early summer days with a lot of sun, and almost no wind at all. |
